Problem#1:  Are 1st and 2nd wives coming out backwards
in your outlines and gedcoms generated by Family Tree
Marker?

Solution:  Always enter a marriage date for each spouse,
even if it is just an approximation of year...i.e. Abt 1876.

Problem #2:  Why are children coming out on Family Tree
Maker reports and gedcoms not in chronological order?

Solution:  Adding children can be done in any birth order;
but before leaving that family page, use the "Sort Children" feature: 
Click people, then sort children, then okay.  Now all the children will be
reported with the oldest child first, then the next oldest, and
on down.  Just be sure to always enter an appoximate birth year
for each child.  If no birth information is given, those children
will appear before those with birth information...not a good thing. 
As a general rule of thumb, children were born 15-24 months apart.
