Churches and Church Records
This page was last updated on:  05 July 2004

SMARC's objective for this section is to provide on-line researchers with information concerning the history of churches in our Tri-State area including transcribed church records.  For information concerning church graveyards, please visit our Cemeteries section.

Usually, individual church histories are included in either or both the Heritage Book and the Cemetery Book published by local societies.

Most of today's churches do have web sites; but most of them have nothing about their history nor about their associated cemeteries.  SMARC has only included links to those that do offer this genealogical information.  We will be adding these over the summer of 2004, so check back often to review our updates.
